ANEMA&CORE was designed by Judel-Vrolijk in 2006 and built by Goetz Customs Yachts, delivered to the German owner in early 2007 for the 2007 MedCup.  It was purchased by the current owner in late 2007.  Since then the boat has been continuously modified to meet the IRC rules.  The internal ballast was completely taken out of the bilge, the bulb was lengthened and considerable lead weight was added to it.  The mast was modified to allow a dual PBO backstay system, and the transom was completely redesigned and modified.  The spinnaker blocks have been moved all the way to the back pulpit, and the interior of the boat has been modified by installing a chute for the spinnaker take down as well as a roller system at the hatch, which also has been replaced.  All lines, backstays, most blocks, have been replaced in 2009 and 2010.  In 2010 the bow section was repaired following delamination.  The first 20 feet of bow area were cut out and replaced with an entirely new section with foam core for extra strength.  A new forward ring frame was also added.
